I read somewhere during the initial idea of creating my blog, that each day there are over 50,000 blogs started. Wow – if that is not discouraging then I have no idea what could be. At any given point, there are thousands of people creating their first blog (like me) or making an update to their blogs that already exist. So why would anyone want to read mine? Why even start it and spend money on a site that people may not view? Why even spend time to write posts or create my ideal site? I personally made the decision because I have always used me being an introvert as an excuse and decided that life is too short to not do what you want.
I decided that today, on my Grandmother’s birthday (RIP Granny), that I will take the next step into my dreams and I encourage you to do the same.
So what is Love Brown Girl? In short, it is a blog that is used to discuss things from OUR point of view. Things that we find interesting, things we like to see / hear, things that make us happy, however; I do not claim to be an expert so all topics are from my perspective.
My site will continue to evolve as I want to talk about things that are current and highlight people in my life that are making moves. Thanks for being a part of my journey and I hope that we continue to grow together.
2022 Update:
After chatting with a friend whom recently started a new online shoe boutique while being a full-time mom, I really sat and thought about a business that would is something I am passionate about and clothing was the first thing that came to mind. She reminded me that whenever we go out, there is at least one person asking me what the items that I have on and I have always been vocal and open to share where it was purchased from. So why not take that interaction and turn in into a business. So starting this online boutique is not about making money (but hey, that is the goal too) but about sharing the pieces that I love with others.
As a Black women, we often set the trends and I want to have a place where we can continue to do that at a affordable price.
I hope that you all love the pieces that I have purchased and can continue to share feedback on what other items you are interested in!
